By train and bus

• Alternative 1:
  • Walk to Frankfurt am Main Flughafen Regionalbahnhof (approx. 8 minutes)
  • Take the S8, Direction Wiesbaden and change trains at Mainz-Bischofsheim Bahnhof (approx. 15 minutes)
  • Take the regional train RB75, Direction Darmstadt/Aschaffenburg, to Darmstadt (approx. 20 minutes)
  • In Darmstadt, follow directions from the Main Train Station below
• Alternative 2:
  • From Terminal 1, take the Bus 651, Direction Obertshausen, and get off at Neu-Isenburg Bahnhof Westseite (approx. 15 minutes)
  • Walk to Neu-Isenburg Bahnhof (approx. 2 minutes)
  • Take the suburban train S3 to Darmstadt Hauptbahnhof (approx. 20 minutes)
  • In Darmstadt, follow directions from the Main Train Station below

By bus

• The Airliner Bus to Darmstadt Main Train Station leaves from Terminal 1, near Arrival Gates C between 0515 and 2245 M-F. The ride is about 30 minutes
• In Darmstadt, follow directions from the Main Train Station below

• Take head toward the city center by Tram 3, Bus F, or Bus H and get off at the Schloss
• Turn toward the Landesmuseum and cross the street
• Enter the Herrngarten Park between the Museum and Archives (neo-classical building)
• Turn right to exit the park at Hochschulstraße
• The Institute is directly across the street at Hochschulstraße 6, Building S2|07

If you are going by car, this is how you reach our institute:

• From the highway (Autobahn) you take the exit for the city center, called Darmstadt-Stadtmitte
• Go straight until at the end of Rheinstraße into a tunnel and on the City-Ring
• At the palace (German: Schloss) you turn right into the street named Alexanderstraße, after the congress center Darmstadium
• After Wilhelminen-, Hügel-, Kirch-, Holz- and Landgraf-Georg-Straße turn left on Magdalenenstraße and follow the map with the university building numbers
